Calgary, Alberta, Canada – MOBILTEX [an XPV Water Partners company], a leading provider of innovative IIoT hardware and software solutions for critical infrastructure remote monitoring within a broad range of industrial and municipal markets, is very pleased to announce that Ed Quilty has joined its Board of Directors.
Mr.Quilty is a registered professional biologist with the British Columbia College of Applied Biology, a member of the US-based Methods and Data Comparability Board’s Sensor Workgroup, and was VP of the Canadian Water Resources Association’s (CWRA) BC Branch from 2005 to 2011. Ed holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Victoria and completed four years of a PhD in hydro-informatics at the University of British Columbia.
As founder & CEO of Aquatic Informatics (AQI), Mr. Quilty’s leadership was instrumental in the company’s rapid expansion into one of the largest water data management & analytics software companies in the world with over 2000 customers in 60 countries. AQI SaaS solutions are used to ensure safe drinking water and wastewater treatment, forecast and respond to floods, generate power, provide water for irrigation and industrial use, and to protect the environment. In 2020 AQI was acquired by Danaher, adding its innovative water management software solutions to a global conglomerate portfolio that includes many of the top companies in water. Mr.Quilty joined the Danaher team to continue to provide leadership to the AQI division and ensure a successful transition.
Mr.Quilty recently retired from Danaher with a new focus on Corporate Director roles and impact investing. Renowned for his visionary leadership and proven track record in steering strategic IIoT initiatives, coupled with his innovative approach to industrial software and technology development, he is uniquely positioned to significantly contribute to MOBILTEX’s future growth.
