The entire line of CorTalk RMU1 devices have been engineered to utilize standard 0ff-the-shelf Lithium L91 AA batteries [Energizer Ultimate is recommended] which can be purchased almost anywhere consumer batteries are sold – with MOBILTEX no expensive proprietary battery that must be ordered from the manufacturer and the RMU1 batteries are very simple to replace in the field.
The RMU1 delivers long runtimes for maximum autonomy in the field, even in the harshest winter conditions (performance will degrade in extreme cold and return to normal within our set operational ranges)
The battery life for the RMU1 is typically 10 years based on readings every 7 days. For the RMU1 Gen4 equipped with an INT1 interrupter, the battery life is typically 5 years based on readings every 12 hours and 2 weeks of interruption per year.
