MOBILTEX RELEASES THE CORTALK PI-1 — NEXT GENERATION GPS SYNCHRONIZED POCKET CP INTERRUPTER WITH LONG BATTERY LIFE

MOBILTEX ANNOUNCES FIRST CE CERTIFICATION AND ROHS COMPLIANCE FOR CORTALK UDL1 AND UDL2 DATALOGGERS

October 29, 2021

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Calgary, Alberta, Canada – MOBILTEX (an XPV Water Partners company) announces today that we have achieved compliance with European Union (EU) Conformité Européenne (CE) directives for our award-winning CorTalk uDL Series of Dataloggers. An accredited independent lab has validated the products against the EU Low Voltage Directive – 2014/35/EU and the EU EMC Directive – 2014/30/EU, while a certified environmental auditor has certified alignment with the EU RoHS – Restriction of Hazardous Substances – Directive – 2011/65/EU and 2015/863/EU amending Annex II. This allows us to begin effectively serving European and global markets by meeting the requirements to comply with Conformité Européenne standards while at the same time ensuring supply of eco-friendly product.

The CorTalk uDL1 Data Logger, with its GPS-based accurate timestamping, is one of the industry’s smallest and toughest devices for collecting AC and DC measurements from cathodic protection systems. Designed to fit under standard CP test caps, this rechargeable device automatically begins operation when connected to a measurement cable and stores up to 2,000,000 readings.

The award-winning CorTalk uDL2 Data Logger for CP coupons is a tiny, yet highly capable device providing comprehensive data measurement and logging of coupon status in CP systems. The device provides reliable, accurate measurement of AC current density, coupon DC current, a range of potential measurements and more. A dual potential mode enables the uDL2 to take potential measurements from two structures simultaneously. The uDL2 is also equipped with a rechargeable battery that provides up to six months of service and up to 2,000,000 readings on a single charge.

“While North America remains the primary market for our portable and remote monitoring solutions, the global demand for MOBILTEX products is driving the CE certification process across our portfolio,” says Marc Bracken CEO of MOBILTEX. “We are fast tracking the CE certification process so that we can reduce our environmental impact and validate our product performance in order to offer our entire CorTalk technology suite, combined with our powerful CorView cloud platform, to critical infrastructure and pipeline operations worldwide.”

Data that is transmitted by MOBILTEX remote monitoring devices is received and stored by CorView, an advanced cloud-based field management data platform. CorView can be accessed from any location, using any web-enabled device, to access measurement data, create trending graphs and generate reports beyond just compliance. Technicians can also configure CorView to automatically send alerts if measurements received are outside of set thresholds or if data is not received at scheduled intervals. CorView’s data repository and functions are powered by AWS [Amazon Web Services] global infrastructure and entirely supported by MOBILTEX, which means no special software or IT support is ever required to access its powerful capabilities.
