RMU5: Options
The modular design of the RMU5 makes it
ideal for installation in either basic or more demanding
applications through the use of add-on expansion modules.
Mobiltex has already developed a wide variety of such
modules with future development occurring as required.
Option modules for the RMU5 include:
- GPS time synchronized rectifier interruption
- Internal Flash drive for data logging storage (1GB or 8GB, factory installed)
- Extended temperature backup battery for -40 to +80°C (-40 to +176°F) operation
- RS-232 interface board for MODBUS RS-232 applications
RMU5 units have a RS-232 communications expansion interface through which a variety of Mobiltex produced modems or third party radio modems can be used. The modems Mobiltex has developed include:
- ISAT compact satellite transceiver
- V.34 PSTN modem
- 1200/2400 MSK VHF/UHF terrestrial radio modem
